Colorado Football Players Seen Playing Craps in Locker Room

  • Players from the Colorado Buffaloes football team were caught on video playing craps in the locker room.
  • The video shows both current and former Colorado players rolling the dice and holding handfuls of cash.
  • NCAA rules prevent player from betting on sports but don’t mention playing craps on school property.

BOULDER, Colo. – A video of Colorado Buffaloes’ football players rolling dice in the locker room surfaced on social media. Current and former Colorado players are seen playing craps with handfuls of cash.

The video, posted on X by Tim Scheld, is supposedly from a player source with the Colorado football program. He captioned the video “Got this from a CU player source. Maybe Shilo Sanders can borrow $$$ from his teammates to settle up the bankruptcy claim. Way to go, Deion Sanders and Rick George. Must be the NIL.”

The video was allegedly taken inside the UCHealth Champions Center at the Boulder campus. There’s been no official statement from either the University of Colorado or the NCAA, and it’s unknown whether either will comment on the video.

Former 5-Star Recruit Cormani McClain Shown In Video

Cormani McClain, a former 5-star recruit as a cornerback, was allegedly the player shooting dice with cash in hand. McClain has since transferred to the University of Florida, but the video was taken before the 2023 season.

Colorado is one of the states with legal craps, but what’s captured in the video has nothing to do with casino regulation. The NCAA prohibits student-athletes from betting on any sport that the NCAA holds a championship for, but surprisingly casino games are allowed.

Shooting dice in the locker room is likely something that occurs in multiple programs across the country, but it’s not a good look for a team that was accused of being more focused on social media and money than playing football. McClain said that he transferred because he “doesn’t want to play for clicks”, similar to what Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said last year about Deion Sanders’ football program.
